J.E.T.S. Competitive Teams
USA BOYS AND GIRLS TEAMS AND GIRLS PRETEAM AND AAU PROGRAMS
When girls and boys reach advanced skill levels and demonstrate their commitment to the sport of gymnastics, we invite them to tryout for our pre-team or team programs. It takes discipline and effort to be a successful competitive gymnast, but just as important, we want our gymnasts to learn what it takes to be part of a successful team. We offer a "Falcons 5" program for preschool gymnasts who are developing quickly. We also offer a pre-team program called "Cadets" for gymnasts ready to train levels 1-3. The official team competitions begin at level 4 and 5.
J.E.T.S. offers a competitive USA girls and boys program for children who have long term goals in gymnastics. The USA program is designed to train gymnasts for high level competition, college scholarships and national teams. Our AAU program is geared for athletes who want to experience the thrill of competition, the joy of being part of a team and the fun of learning the sport of gymnastics while training in a less intense training environment.
J.E.T.S. team programs are dedicated to providing the coaching excellence required to excel at the highest levels of gymnastics. In teaching and conditioning our young people to execute great athletic skills, we also strive to strengthen the following qualities in our young athletes:
- Create a sense of personal awareness, pride, and self-confidence
- Build life long friendships with teammates and coaches
- Develop life skills such as time management, work ethic, healthy eating, self-discipline, and teamwork.
- A good-sport attitude including personal grace in the face of disappointment and gratitude when accepting awards for great success
- A respect for teammates, coaches, and J.E.T.S. staff
- Develop strong gymnastic technique and master and understand skill progressions
- The ability to challenge oneself with a focus on achieving personal best
- A strong sense of team and genuine support for your teammates
- The ability to recognize, enjoy and celebrate successes large and small
- Recognize challenges and work towards overcoming them, whether it is fear based or achieving a hard to reach skill.
The Team and Pre-team Program members work on skills leading up to Level 4, the first competitive level.

Level 7 has specific compulsory skill requirements on each event but routines can be individually composed.
Levels 8-10 are "optional" levels, meaning the skills used in the routines are individualized, reflecting the personality of the gymnast.
Elite Program is designed to provide experiences for athletes aspiring to the National Team or National Training Squad. National Teams (junior and senior) are selected from the USA Championships. These athletes represent the United States in international competition. The National Training Squads (children and junior) are selected from the US Challenge Meets.
